Terms and Conditions for Shibutz

Welcome to Shibutz. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Services Offered
Shibutz helps elementary schools create class lists. Free accounts can create 1 class list with up to 25 students and 3 assignment generations. Pro accounts remove those limits and include XLSX export.
2. Registration and Ownership
Upon registration, users gain access to the tool to create class lists. These lists remain under the users' ownership.
3. Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds
Pro is an annual subscription priced at $199/year unless a different price is shown during payment. Our payment provider handles payment collection, taxes, invoices, and payment details. Subscriptions renew each year until canceled.
You can cancel anytime from the Billing page. After cancellation, Pro access continues until the end of the paid billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time.
Users can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting support@shibutz.com. After 7 days, refunds are provided only where required by law or approved by our support team.
4. User Data Collection
We collect personal data, including names, emails, school information, billing identifiers, and subscription status to provide the service and manage accounts. Payment details are handled directly by our payment provider. Student data entered for class lists is used only to create and manage those lists. 5. Non-Personal Data Collection
Our website utilizes web cookies to enhance user experience and analyze site usage.

7. Acceptable Use
Users agree to use Shibutz solely for legitimate educational purposes related to class list creation and student placement. Users shall not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Shibutz platform. Any automated or bulk access to the service without prior written consent is prohibited.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Shibutz platform — including but not limited to the software, algorithms, design, text, and graphics — are owned by Shibutz and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The class lists and data you create using our service remain your property.
9. Limitation of Liability
Shibutz provides the service "as is" and makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of generated class lists. Shibutz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings, which will permanently remove class lists, assignments, and student data. Billing records may be retained for legal, tax, audit, and dispute-resolution purposes.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Israel.
12. Updates to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Users will be notified of any changes via email.
