The roster is where a class placement project either becomes calm or starts to fray. A few duplicate names from an import, a handful of support notes, and three friend requests that need a second look can be enough to slow down the whole meeting. Shibutz now gives that review work a clearer home.
The Students page now has a Roster review panel above the student table. It adds practical filters, ready-made review queues, and bulk cleanup actions so administrators can tighten up the roster before generating balanced class lists.
Class placement data is rarely messy because someone was careless. It is messy because real schools collect information from spreadsheets, teacher conversations, counselor notes, and student surveys. The new roster review tools respect that reality: they do not hide sensitive tradeoffs, and they do not force every student into the same generic cleanup flow.
The biggest gain is meeting rhythm. When a principal asks, "Which students still need staff review?" or "Did we import any duplicate names?" the answer is a click away. Bulk removal also cleans up related preferences, restrictions, required placements, and friend links, keeping the class list internally consistent after a roster correction.
Open your dashboard, choose a class list, and go to Students. The roster review panel appears above the table automatically. For the full walkthrough, see Managing Students.
