Billing and Pro subscriptions

The Billing page shows the plan attached to your Shibutz account. If your school is on Pro, you will see the subscription status, the next renewal date, and a link to the Polar customer portal.

Open the Billing page

Open your profile menu from the dashboard, choose Profile, then select Billing. You can also open Billing. The page is private, so only signed-in users can see plan details.

Upgrade to Pro

Click Upgrade to Pro to start the $199/year Pro subscription in Polar checkout. Polar handles payment details and sends Shibutz a signed webhook when the subscription changes. Shibutz does not turn on Pro from a checkout URL; it waits for Polar or checks Polar directly after checkout.

Free and Pro limits

The Free plan is designed for trying the full class placement workflow on a small roster. It includes 1 class list, up to 25 students in that class list, and 3 assignment generations. Pro removes those limits and unlocks XLSX export.

If a subscription ends, Shibutz keeps existing class lists and results readable. Over-limit accounts can review and edit existing data, but new class lists, extra students, additional generations, and XLSX exports require Pro.

After checkout

The success page checks your subscription status every few seconds. Most updates appear quickly, but it can take a short moment for Polar to send the final subscription event.

Manage billing

Paid Pro users can open the Polar customer portal from Billing to view invoices, payment details, and subscription status. If the portal button is missing right after checkout, wait a moment and refresh the page.
